"I am so pleased with my grocery pods. I have been trying to reuse and recycle bags for years. Used to have some string bags that were nice and stretchy, but not durable. The reusable bags sold in grocery stores do not have the best shape.

Here's what I like about the pods:

The round bottom makes them stand up nicely in the trunk or back seat of the car.

The bag is deep enough to carry many items.

The construction seems durable, particularly the welting at the top and around the base."

Paper or Plastic? Reusable Grocery Pod Please!

Our mission at Samica Bags is to educate adults and children on using sustainable products.

We can all find simple solutions to offset carbon on a personal level.

One day I just got tired of bringing home over 25 plastic bags from one trip the grocery store. Why is it they use one plastic bag per item? After using the plastic bag for all of 10 minutes, I would put them in my recycle bin and feel as though I had done a good deed for the earth. Inevitably some of the bags would escape their doom of being recycled and fly into the air as the recycling truck was dumping my bin into the back of the truck. Airborne this "urban tumbleweed" would hunt down its prey by acting as food for animals that would then ingest the plastic bag and perish. What about the plastic bags that DID make it to the recycling plant, there is the gas of the truck and the energy used to make that plastic bag usable again?

The reusable grocery bags on the market were, quite frankly, not very attractive.

I mean really, I KNOW you are not a plastic bag.

The reusable, fashionable, fabric grocery pod was born.
